DGVCL New Light Connection Application Process

1. Eligibility Criteria :

Before applying, for any new LT Residential Light Connection make sure you meet the criteria. Generally, eligibility criteria include residential proof, Photo identity proof, and other relevant documents. Check this post => New Connection Documents

2. Get Application A1 Form :

To get the application form visit nearest DGVCL office or download the form online from the official website. => VISIT DGVCL SITE

3. Fill Application Form :

Complete the application form with accurate and up-to-date information. Double-check all details including the documents required as mentioned in the form, check your name is mentioned correctly and no typo mistake, double check address and contact information.

4. Attach Required Documents :

Collect all necessary documents such as proof of residence ownership, photo identity proof, and any other specific requirements mentioned in the application A1 form. Make Xerox copy of these documents and attach them to the application. DOCUMENT LIST

5. Submit Application :

Submit the filled application A1 form along with the attached documents to the DGVCL office.

6. Payment of Fees :

Pay registration fees for the new connection. For example DGVCL Residential Village / City Registration fee is 40 rs. + GST 18%. You can pay online or offline.

7. Site Inspection :

DGVCL may conduct a site inspection to verify the details provided in your application. It’s called Lineman Survey Report, Ensure that the premises are accessible during the inspection period.

8. Connection Approval :

Once your application is reviewed and the site inspection is successfully done , DGVCL will approve your new connection. You will be then notified about the approval, and your Estimated Quotation will be processed ( FQ ). Once processed successfully Estimated Quotation ( FQ ) will be sent to your home address provided in the application via POST, you will receive SMS from DGVCL office if mobile number is provided and the same is active or you can even visit office to know the status or to collect and Pay your estimated quotation ( FQ ).

( NOTE : There is 1 Month Time limit to pay the estimated quotation fees after estimated quotation ( FQ ) is processed by the Office and hand over to you .) For example Up to 2 kw for Residential connection estimated amount is 3500 Rs. + GST 18%

9. Test Report FEE :

Once the registration process / Estimated Quotation process and payment against both is done then fill and Submit Test Report form from authorized Electrical Contractor. Test Report will be conducted and filed with your application. Test report fee is 20 Rs. + GST 18%

10. Installation of Meter and Connection

Well done! DGVCL connection will now get processed. Meter & Service wire will be installed at your premises as soon as possible as per the sequence and time limit process of DGVCL Once completed and everything is installed you can start using electricity. In the next billing cycle of meter reading you will get your first consumption bill.
